Vol. I Night Static

Submission Deadline August 31, 2026

There are places that exist between destinations; empty highways, blinking motel signs, small towns after dark, and stretches of road where the radio crackles with something beyond reach. Night Static is a collection of stories from those in-between spaces.

The inaugural anthology from Neon Relics gathers fiction rooted in atmosphere, place, and the mysteries that linger beneath everyday life. Within these pages you’ll find lonely travelers, forgotten communities, strange encounters, restless figures, hard choices, and moments of unexpected connection beneath vast desert skies.

Drawing inspiration from the American Southwest while welcoming a wide range of interpretations, Night Static celebrates stories that stick with you—strange, lonely, communal, beautiful, and everything else that makes us human. Each narrative explores the signals we follow through darkness and the static that remains when certainty fades.

Welcome to the spaces between places.
